THE girls seems to be settling in to their new digs as well as can be expected. Of course, there are a few expected grumblings about their cramped quarters but, as far as I’m concerned, it’s the best thing that could have happened to bring out the worst in the lovelies.

Liz and Kristal seem to have bonded over their mutual bitchiness. According to viewers’ comments on the BBA forums, both girls are bossy, rude and loud.
I called it, yo! Funny how one can tell a lot about a person just by looking at the expression on their faces. Both Kristal and Liz seem to have that superior attitude that just rubs others up the wrong way.
In her diary room session, Liz told Big Momma that there seem to be two distinct groups in the house: as she sees it, those rooted in their culture and then a more westernised clique.
Geraldine seems to be holding off on forming any alliances, preferring to get to know everybody first before forming alliances. In her diary room session she also alluded to the fact that the more vocal, louder housemates have become something of an irritation, saying she is more of a chilled person who doesn’t always like a lot of competing, loud chatter.
Have to say I agree with her. Not even an hour after the girls entered the house on Sunday evening and I already had a splitting headache just trying to keep up with all the excited squealing and frantic getting to know one another.
Seems watching the boys is not enough for some of the girls. Our Rene suggested Big Momma mix and match the guys and gals, saying she was not used to being around only ladies all the time. Jennifer also seems keen to get to know the guys better, saying she is particularly looking forward to joining the guys and starting the game together.
Sweet Emma seems taken with Jeremy’s hot bod and said Hannington would be more attractive if he got a haircut and shave. Amen to that sistah! Why guys think bushy beards and messy hair are attractive, beats me!
Jeremy certainly seems to be the best of the guys looks wise. He beats the rest hands down with his muscled arms and smoking hot six-pack. He is also winning points with viewers for his humble, endearing and hardworking nature and his neatness.
Must admit when he puts on those spectacles, I get a little smile on my face. There is just something about such a macho man wearing specs that seems to bring out his vulnerable, intelligent side. I like.
As the leader of the Green Brigade in this weeks Boot Camp task, he has shown his calm, mature demeanour. Surprising considering the 2009 Mr Kenya University winner is only 22 years old.
He seems to be doing a good job – effortlessly getting Quinn, Yacob, Itai and Kevin to follow his orders without stepping on any toes, or ego’s.

GETTING
THE BOOT

Speaking of ego’s, Hannington and Phil seem to have massive ego’s, giving Leonel, leader of the Buffalo soldiers, or Red Brigade – hell. Leonel complained bitterly of Hannington’s immaturity, lack of discipline and selfishness. Leonel made me laugh out loud when he asked Jeremy why they wouldn’t listen to him, “is it ‘cos I’m a man”, he said.
Huh? I have a sneaking suspicion that Leonel meant to say something else entirely. Lionella, as he’s been dubbed, is sweet, artistic and creative – but macho man he ain’t.
This week’s task requires that the two brigade’s complete a series of tasks over three days, culminating in the presentation of a choreographed marching sequence and originally composed song tonight. Each team must create their own march and anthem.
Here’s where Leonel’s artistic dance experience comes in handy. He’s brought some much needed spice into the Red Brigade’s sequence, saucing it up with sexy booty grinds and oh so suggestive moves, breaking the serious army-like marches with some flavourings of S.E.X.
As part of the task, each team has a mascot which must be named and treated as an extremely valuable object. It needs to be kept safe from thievery, as each team has to try and steal the other’s mascot.
This got a great reaction from the guys who obviously get excited with such James Bond type espionage-y things. If one team manages to steal the other’s mascot they get to mete out any type of punishment they deem appropriate.
I hope the Green Brigade’s mascot stays safe – having witnessed Phil and Hannington’s shocking anger and scary aggression, I worry about what they might think up given the chance.
Meanwhile, over in lady land the girls are keeping themselves busy with imaginings of being able to sing. I listened in disgust as a few butchered the Desire song ‘Life’.
Stick to the dancing girls! You do much better snaking your hips and shaking your booty than suffering from delusions of being Beyonce or someone.
Must say I was impressed with our Rene, who seems to suffer from the whitey dance gene. Despite this though, she still gave some traditional African booty dances more than a concerted effort. Way to go girl! Dance like no one’s watching.
The girls are all nominated for eviction this week, so remember to keep your favourite lady in the house by voting.
